As pro-Ouattara forces sweep across the country (they now control 80% of it), French forces have taken control of the Abidjan airport to ensure it remains open. It is estimated around 1,00 innocent people have been slaughtered by unknown forces.
There is controversy over this report, and it may or may not be a rumor, but Al-Jazeera decided it was legitimate enough to report. If it is true, the interim military government will have some tough questions to answer as they claimed Mubarak was under house arrest and unable to leave the country.

In this video, their is reportedly a doctor laying injured on the ground. Gadhafi loyalists demand he say “Long Live the Fatah, Long live Gaddafi.” But he refuses and says his own slogan. Shot are fired and the same man’s body is seen in the back of pickup truck surrounded by soldiers.
The title says it all. A wide range of discussions are being held to discuss the future for Gadhafi, and how the international community will extract itself from Libya when the time comes.
This is major step for protesters across Syria, and the first step toward the promise of reform made by President Assad. Assad will address the nation and a new cabinet will be formed in the next 24 hours. It is unlikely that this will satisfy protesters considering how many of them have lost their lives due to crack downs. It is also unlikely that the new cabinet will bring sweeping changes.
The document outlines the goals of the Interim National Council (Libya’s opposition leaders). Those goals include creating a constitution, making sure people have to right to free speech and to protest, the right to vote, and a government with checks and balances built into the system. There is so much more to this document then I listed, but if the Council holds true to this document once Gadhafi goes, then Libya will blossom into democracy. That is a big “IF”, however.
Anger continues to spread across Syria, as the country deploys troops and uses live ammunition to disperse and kill protesters.
Egypt’s ruling and temporary military government has denied rumors that Mubarak has fled to Saudi Arabia saying that both he and his family are under house arrest and are not allowed to travel or leave the country.
