Egypt’s ruling and temporary military government has denied rumors that Mubarak has fled to Saudi Arabia saying that both he and his family are under house arrest and are not allowed to travel or leave the country.

The caretaker government in Egypt has frozen all of Mubarak’s and his extended family’s assets within the country. Travel bans have also been imposed on the group. It’s good to see the temporary government in Egypt continues to be effective.

“Egypt has asked Switzerland for assistance in recovering assets belonging to officials from the ousted government, the Swiss government says. Switzerland ordered a freeze of assets that may belong to Hosni Mubarak shortly after he stepped down as president.
